Serves:: 2 Makes about 1 cup
Ingredients:
- ⅓ C Old Fashioned Oatmeal
- ½ C Unsweetened Almond milk, or water
- ½ C Unsweetened Applesauce
- Pinch Kosher sea salt
- 1 T Agave nectar, or honey, optional
- ½ t Vanilla extract
- ¼ t Ground cinnamon + extra to garnish
- Pinch, freshly grated nutmeg
- ⅓ C Julienned Red Delicious Apple with peel, to garnish
- 2 T Toasted Slivered almonds, to garnish
Directions:
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine oatmeal, almond milk, applesauce and salt.
- Stir well and microwave for 3 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir in agave (if using), vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour into 2 bowls and garnish with apple and almonds.
- Serve hot.
