Serves:: ¾ Cup
Ingredients:
- 1 C Brown sugar, packed
- ½ C Half-and-half
- 4 T Unsalted butter
- 2 Small Pinches, Kosher sea salt
- 1 T Pure Vanilla extract
Directions:
- Mix the brown sugar, half-and-half, butter, and salt in a saucepan, over medium-low heat.
- Cook while whisking gently for 5 - 7 minutes, until it gets thicker.
- Add the vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further.
- Turn off the heat, cool slightly and pour the sauce into a small container with a tightly fitting lid.
- Use immediately or refrigerate until needed.
